Setting the Standard

The KWA USP Tactical represents the standard of what a gas blowback airsoft pistol should be. The KWA USP Tactical is not replacing the USP series. To set the record straight, the H&K USP Tactical is the official tactical upgrade of the USP by adding a threaded barrel and higher sight set for suppressor use, and an adjustable rear sight for more precise shooting.

Airsoft in Movies!

Airsoft guns are part of our lives more often than we think. In the movie industry, airsoft guns are used in a lot of movies and we might not even know about it. There are a lot of reasons, besides the cost and time, movie studios use airsoft guns instead of real firearms firing blanks, but the main reason is safety. Do you guys remember the movie “The Crow”? The famous actor/martial artist, son of Bruce Lee, was killed on the set for that movie. The movie studio was using a real .44 magnum revolver, and a long chain of unfortunate events followed, Brandon Lee was fatally shot on the set.

It is very expensive and time consuming when using real firearms on the set, movie studios must have a person who is in charge of the firearms, called a gun wrangler. No one on the set is allowed to handle the firearms except for the gun wrangler and the actor/actress. Before the scene is filmed, the gun wrangler will instruct the actor/actress on gun safety, and hand them the gun. When the scene is done, the actor/actress will hand the firearm back over to the gun wrangler. As you can see, the process is very time consuming, and the gun wrangler is not cheap to hire, on top of the cost of the firearm or firearm rental. Also, insurance is also very expensive, not to mention the cost of emergency medical personnel on the set.

G&G G96 – Beauty and Precision

Once in a while, there is a gun that comes along and makes me say “wow”. It has happened to me four times; KWA KM4 Series, KWA KMP9, and Western Arms Gas Blowback M4 series. The fourth time was when I first saw the G&G G96 gas operated sniper rifle at the Airsoft GI warehouse. I have shot and owned a lot of different airsoft sniper rifles, but I was never satisfied, that is until the G&G G96.

Adding Texture to Your Combat Handgun

If you have not noticed, polymer pistols are becoming more and more popular. In 1982, the Austrian gun manufacturer, Glock, came out with a highly innovative but controversial pistol design using polymer for their pistols. At first, it was rejected by the traditional crowd because they believed guns should be all steel construction. However, after 20 years of service, Glock has proven itself to be one of the most durable and reliable handguns, and the majority of law enforcement agencies across the nation and the world choose the Glock as their duty weapon.

KWA SR10 – The True Gun Fighter’s Airsoft Carbine

I have been in the airsoft community for over 7 years. Traditionally when I first started airsoft, AEGs (Airsoft Electric Gun) were not quite up to speed right out of the box. I found myself upgrading them, piece by piece, from internal to external. Over time, I had developed a mindset that all stock guns are not great, and they have to be upgraded in order to perform to my expectations.

I remember when I first purchased my Tokyo Marui M4A1 Carbine. After the first week having it, I spent $140 dollars on an FTK (Full Tune-up Kit) in order to make it shoot at 400 FPS. After that, I spent about $110 on an MBK (Metal Body Kit), since stock Tokyo Maruis come with plastic receivers. I also purchased a one piece metal outer barrel due to the fact that the stock barrel is an unstable two-piece design. Last but not least, I purchased a rail system. At the end, I spent over $500 just to make the gun shoot the way I wanted, and look the way I liked.
