Why you should use Gryffon Gear…

irene8

I’ve been working at AirsoftGI for over 4 years now and there is one question that I’ve been getting asked more and more recently and it generally goes something like this, “Bob I know you have a lot of stuff to push but do you really believe in [Blank] ?”

Now, one of the great aspects of working here is that I get to try out a lot of products that we sell. This allows me to do better reviews and educate our customers in a much more profoundly. That’s where the Gryffon Golem Chest rig and Dragonspine belt system come in.

These two Gryffon products looked, on the surface, like one of the best deals we’d ever had going on at Airsoftgi.com. For $15 you can either get the Golem chest rig that can hold 9 STANAG magazines or 6 AK magazines in addition to having MOLLE real estate on either side as well as an incredibly large map pocket that you can stow maps, beef jerkey, bubble gum, or any other number of airsoft necessities. On the other side of the coin, you can spend $15 to get the Dragonspine belt system that is essentially a tactical belt that includes a dual magazine pouch that can fit at least 4 STANAG mags in addition to a wide variety of other magazines as well as a dump/recovery pouch.

My Favorite CO2 Pistol…Right now

I have been using a certain CO2 pistol since just before Tim VS Bob IV/4.5 which has now become a permanent part of this Axe Man’s armory and it is…The Elite Force 1911 Tactical CO2 Blowback Pistol!

ef 1911

Ever since we started carrying Elite Force 1911’s at Airsoftgi.com and GItactical.com I have had many chances to fire them and every time I marvel at not only their out-of-the-box accuracy but, more importantly for me, the incredible amount of recoil. Now, the recoil might not be “revolutionary” per se, but going from green gas pistols which have significant recoil to the Elite Force 1911 felt like taking a dip in very cold water, in other words it was shocking. There is a LOT of recoil on this gun and as such it was much more fun to shoot than any other gas pistol in my armory.

Thankfully, I was able to purchase one just before Tim VS Bob IV/4.5 and thereby got quite a bit of field testing in with said pistol. One of the things I noticed while on the east coast is that my Elite Force 1911 did respond much better to colder weather than I ever would have expected my other green gas pistols to. I was able to achieve solid hits on targets further out and in colder weather than I would have ever been able to had I used a pistol running on green gas. Now, this is not to say that an Elite Force 1911 will always function in cold weather, but that it will perform above comparable green gas pistols in cold weather simply because of the fact that it is designed well and uses CO2 to function.

My Favorite Gas Blow Back Rifle…

lm42I’ve been using a KWA LM4 PTS for over a year now and I’m beyond the point of worrying about other people’s opinions when I say this but… I love it!

In the years leading up to my ownership of an LM4 I have been routinely infatuated with gas blow backs. In fact, I almost always have a sidearm on my person for airsoft games. That’s because having to go for my sidearm in airsoft games is one of my favorite parts about playing. Going for my sidearm means that “fit” is hitting the “shan” and I just need to keep shooting to stay in the game and I live for moments in airsoft like that.

sidearm2So beyond having side arms on my person, I graduated into the gas blow back submachine gun market about 3 years ago with my purchase of a KWA KMP9 along with a Danger Werx Flute valve (so it would shoot under the 350 FPS CQB limit). Not only does a KMP9 from KWA have excellent trigger response, build, and an absurd rate of fire, but the weight it mostly concentrated on or around the pistol grip. This means that with the stock out it’s incredibly easy to fire the gun one-handed and transition between targets quickly. This makes the KMP9 and excellent gun to use with my battle axe.

Tactical Universal Clip – No Need for Slings?

Tactical Universal Clip (Patent Pending) is a holster for a long gun or shotgun. The device comprises a clip that is attached to the butt stock of the rifle or shotgun, and a chest plate that attaches to a military style Molle vest, police tactical vest, police officer’s duty vest, or a chest harness by means of Velcro straps. This enables the user to carry the rifle or shotgun without the use of a sling or strap. For years, a sling or strap has been accepted as the standard way to carry a rifle or shotgun. The TAC System is an innovative design that will revolutionize the carrying of long guns. It’s simple, easy to use, practical and “makes sense”.

Safety Above Everything – Gryffon Aerie Rifle Case

Gun bags are an integral part of responsible firearms ownership, and this follows for airsoft as well, since the latest airsoft guns on the market are nearly indistinguishable from their real steel counterparts. If mishandled in public, airsoft guns are subject to cause a great deal of concern, as the average citizen may mistaken them for real firearms.
